Amana PTAC units help to maximize your room with a shallow 7 5/8" front extension into the room. The Stonewood Beige color will blend seamlessly into any space. Amana PTACs are installed through the wall. The front panel can be attached to the frame with a concealed screw. This helps circumvent unauthorized tinkering with the unit. The 7-button touch pad with LED display is easy to see and use. It allows for fan and mode control and easy-touch up and down temperature setting. Integrated diagnostic tools are included for fast diagnosis and repair. These units allow for easy connection to a wireless or wired thermostat as well as the ability to integrate with an energy management system. Amana’s advanced condensate dispersion system throws excess condensation onto the outdoor coil for fast evaporation allowing for maximum cooling efficiency with limited condensate run-off. The built-in 30-second fan-off delay allows for more cooling efficiency, using the unit’s fan to disperse the heated or cooled air into the room after the compressor stops, instead of leaving the conditioned air on the coils. Each unit also comes equipped with Room Freeze Protection that activates the fan motor and the electric resistance heater when the PTAC senses temperatures of 40°F or below. An increased dehumidification capacity (3.6 pints per hour) works to maintain lower humidity levels in the room. This makes it more comfortable at higher temperatures, ultimately reducing cooling costs, while still allowing you to feel comfortable. Easily accessible filters are removable and washable to help maintain clean and healthy air in the room. All units are run tested at the factory before shipping. They are also leak tested during manufacturing and again prior to shipping. New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner.
